Build a Better Brain with Games and Puzzles

Board games.png Did you know that November 22 - 29 is National Game and Puzzle Week? This annual event takes place the Sunday through Saturday of Thanksgiving week and is a great reminder of the fun to be had playing games with family and friends...and, if you're feeling a bit more solitary, there are mental treats like crossword puzzles and sudoku, too. Not only can you have fun, but playing board games and doing puzzles can also help you to build a better brain.

Build a Better Brain Through Art

Think about art and what comes to your mind? Finger-painting? Going to the
Milwaukee Art Museum? Sketching and doodling? Art can be fun, creative, and relaxing. It's also a good way to help you build a better brain. Come to the Villard Library to explore various styles of art, from abstraction to realism, with artist Jeanette Wright-Claus on Saturdays through November 6 from 10:30 - 12:30.
