Happy Birthday Curious George!

On September 16, 1898, Hans Augusto Reyersbach, better known as H.A. Rey, was born in Hamburg, Germany. Together with his wife, Margaret, H.A. Rey created several children's book. However, they were best known as the creators of the Curious George series.
Come to the Central Library Children's Room tomorrow, September 17 at 10:30 a.m., to celebrate Curious George's birthday. This hour- long celebration will include stories, movies, crafts, and a special appearance by Curious George!

A Cook's Journey to Japan

Cooks Journey To Japan Book Cover
Celebrate National Culinary Arts Month at Central Library by meeting Sarah Marx Feldner, author of A Cook's Journey to Japan. Feldner's book tells the story of the people and food of Japan.

At this program Sarah Marx Feldner will present a slide show and talk about her writing process. Books will be available for purchase. Samples for tasting will also be presented.

Are you unsure of what to do to fill your child's time during spring break? Join us in the Central Library Betty Brinn Children's Room April 6-9 for games, crafts and a movie during spring break! Tuesday, April 6 is Book Jacket Bingo, Wednesday, April 7 is Game Day, featuring the Wii and classic board games, Thursday, April 8 is DIY Craft Day, and Friday, April 9 is Movie Day, featuring Ratatouille.
