Microsoft has introduced its 2007 version of Microsoft Office. At this point MPL is still on an older version of Microsoft Office, so any documents saved in Office 2007 will not open on library computers.

All hope is not lost, however! The website www.zamzar.com that will convert your documents from Office 2007 to a format readable on MPL computers for free. It does take a little time and an email address, but you can usually get your converted document back in about 20 minutes, and then you will be able to use it on the library computers.

Documents can also be saved in formats that can be read by earlier versions of word. This is also useful for people who work on multiple systems.
