Juneteenth Day Celebration

Bring yourself; bring the kids; bring the entire family today to the Juneteenth Day Celebration in the Northcott Neighborhood (on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive between West Center and Burleigh Streets) from 10 am to 6 pm. There will be shopping, soul food, parade, loads of fun, and music with this year’s headliner, R&B sensation Silk.

Here are some great books to read about Juneteenth:

Here are some websites to learn about the history of Juneteenth:

and today's lineup: The Roots of Juneteenth

Please note: today, Martin Luther King library will be open. However, there will be no access to the parking lot or surrounding streets due to the Juneteenth Day Celebration.
