The Milwaukee Public Library is proud to present its latest digital collection: the Milwaukee Historic Photos collection.

This is the beginning of the digitization process of the Historic Photo Collection, part of the Photo Archives that are housed in the Humanities Department at the Central Library. So far, over 150 photos of historic Milwaukee buildings and streets have been added to this collection, with more to come!
This is only the beginning of the project. The Historic Photo Collection numbers over 50,000 photographs of historic Milwaukee, and what has been added to the digital collection so far is only a drop in the bucket. So if you don't see the photo you're looking for, make sure that you contact the Humanities Department at (414) 286-3061. Also, make sure you're checking back to see what new photos are being added.
You can access MPL's digital collections from the home page. Down toward the bottom of the page is a button that says "Digital Collections" just click on that to be directed to the Digital Collections front page.
