For information on the Olympics in general, you can check out the official Olympics website. For up to the moment information on what is going on at the Beijing Olympics, check out the official website of the Beijing Games.

If you are interested in the history behind our modern Olympic Games, check out the article Citius, Altius, Fortis: A History of the Olympic Games. This article gives a great overview of the history, both ancient and modern, of the Olympics, and lists some great sources for those who want to check out more information on Olympic history.

Finally, this is a great tool from the New York Times. This site provides a geographic view of the number of medals won in all the Olympics between 1896 and today. It's a really neat way of seeing the shifts in the successes in the games by different countries.
