As part of Money Smart Week Wisconsin (October 12-18, 2008), MPL is offering Get Smart About Credit Day.
Library staff will show you how and where to get a free copy of your credit report. (Remember that your credit score is not part of your credit report!) You will receive a free printout of one report per person, and you can print reports from other credit reporting agencies for 15 cents per page. Staff from the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Milwaukee will be available to explain the report to you and provide additional information.
Get Smart About Credit Day is Thursday, October 16. Programs will be held at Central Library from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and at Center Street Library from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Advanced registration is required.
