Adopting a dog can be good not only for the pooch, but for yourself. Research shows that having a pet can improve your health and happiness. October is a lovely time of year to take walks, and a canine companion will give you additional incentive to get going. Having a pet is a big commitment, and the Milwaukee Public Library has books, magazines, and videos that can help you learn more about dog ownership.
