On June 21, the poet-in-residence for the Language of Conservation program, Pattiann Rogers, will read poems highlighting the earth and its wide variety of life in meadowlands and grasslands, deserts, seas, marshes, jungles and forests. A reception including light refreshments will begin at at 6:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Both will take place in the Krug Rare Books Room at the Central Library on the second floor. The Language of Conservation is an initiative of Poets House in partnership with the Milwaukee County Zoo and Milwaukee Public Library, made possible by a National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
