On August 16, 1888, Thomas Edward Lawrence, also known as T.E. Lawrence or Lawrence of Arabia, was born in Tremadog, North Wales. Lieutenant Colonel T.E. Lawrence was a British army officer that served as a liason during the Arab revolt against the Ottoman rulers. He was a prolific letter writer, and he also wrote an autobiographical account of his time in the Middle East called The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. You can learn more about the amazing life of T.E.
