Another spectacular author is coming to MPL this month!

Join us on Sunday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. in Centennial Hall when author Ian Frazier will be speaking about his dazzling Russian travelogue, Travels in Siberia.
In his latest work, he trains his eye for unforgettable detail on Siberia, that vast expanse of Asiatic Russia. He explores many aspects of this storied, often grim region, which takes up one-seventh of the land on earth. He writes about the geography, the resources, the native peoples, the history, the forty-below midwinter afternoons, the bugs.
The program will be followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library, in partnership with Boswell Book Company.

I have just started reading Frazier's new book and I have to say it's easily the best book I've read this year—probably the best in the last few years. It's simply riveting. I think I've read nearly all of his previous books, but this one is unbelievable. I hope others will take the time to discover this masterpiece.
