NaGraNoWriMo and NaNoWriMo

Have you always wanted to be a novelist or a graphic novelist? Well, abandon your excuses, sharpen your pencils and clear your schedule because now is the time.
Pencils

October is National Graphic Novel Writing Month (also known as NaGraNoWriMo). Even though we're halfway through the month there is still time for you to work on that graphic novel idea you've had tucked away for too long. The goal is to write a script for a graphic novel of at least 48 pages by October 31st.

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). The goal is to write a 50,000-word novel of any genre you choose by November 30th. If you're in need of inspiration, check out the list of published NaNoWriMo authors and the book by the founder of NaNoWriMo, No Plot? No Problem.

There isn't a prize for finishing your graphic novel or novel in a month, but do you really need one? This is an accomplishment that is its own reward (and includes bragging rights!).
