US_Patent_2951719.pngDo you have a great idea that you'd like to patent, but don't know where to start? The first thing you'll need to do is search to make sure that you're the first to patent the idea. If you'd like to learn more about how to start, come to the library's Patents 101 program. A Central Library Business Librarian will explain the seven-step strategy for doing a patent search in this free program. The Milwaukee Public Library is a United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Depository. While librarians cannot do a patent search for you, these monthly programs will show you how to get started by using USPTO guidelines.
