
On Friday, September 9, the city of Milwaukee will begin a weekend of remembrance to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, the first responders who risked their lives on that day and the members of the armed forces who continue to risk their lives to protect us. We will also pay special tribute to fallen service members.
Please join Mayor Tom Barrett from 4:45 - 5:15 p.m. at Red Arrow Park (920 N Water Street) to commemorate the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001.
Mayor Barrett will be joined by Milwaukee's first-responders, members of the armed services, the Milwaukee Police American Legion Post 415 and the Milwaukee Firefighters American Legion Post 426.
Active and Retired Military service members are encouraged to attend in uniform.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the City Hall Rotunda -200 E. Wells St.
