Intellectual property includes everything from inventions and literary and artistic works, to symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce. Join us for one of our three programs to learn more about what Intellectual Property is and how to protect your personal and business creations.

Patent Searching 101
Thursday, April 25, 12-1 p.m.
Protect Your Product! This program will explain the seven-step strategy for conducting a patent search. The Milwaukee Public Library is a Patent and Trademark Resource Center through the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Understanding Intellectual Property
Friday, April 26, 2-3:30 p.m.
The Understanding Intellectual Property program will define the various types of intellectual property and explain how you can obtain protection for your creations.

Trademarks 101
Tuesday, April 30, 5:30-7 p.m.
Trademarks 101 is a crash-course in what you need to know about trademark protection in the United States. Learn what trademarks are, how they are protected and the process of conducting a federal trademark search.

No registration required. All programs held in the Krikelas Conference Room, 2nd floor. Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave.
