Inside the new building we will have two works of public art installed. Artists submitted their ideas in June, and there are now five finalists to choose from. These finalists will present their proposals at the Milwaukee Public Library Centennial Hall, Loos Room, 733 N. 8th St. on Thursday, September 12, at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, you can see their proposals at our website, and take our online survey to tell us which ones you like best. We want the community to have a voice in which art works are chosen, so let us know what you think!

The first East library furniture auction was a great success!
The net proceeds were a little over $10,000, and will be added to the library's public art fund.
(Just look at that beauty! So functional, so artistic! Of course they're selling well!)
Keep an eye out for the next auction on August 21st in Chicago. Contact Leslie Hindman Auctioneers for more info: www.lesliehindman.com/offices/milwaukee/
