Fit to a T is a bone health and osteoporosis education program for men and women of all
ages presented by Ann Perry, Physical Therapist and Sue Coenen, Outreach Librarian at
the Zablocki Library on Monday, October 22, 2007 from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
During this session, we will cover topics such as: why is bone health important, what is osteoporosis, who is at risk for developing osteoporosis, what are the symptoms and warning signs; how is it diagnosed and treated, how do you avoid developing osteoporosis, and where can you learn more?
You’ll receive a packet of information, including a brochure produced by the U.S. Bone and Joint Decade that covers the main points presented during this session, as well as a Calcium Calculator, and a Risk Assessment tool you can take home and go through on your own and share with family and friends. You will also have a copy of the “People’s Piece” a brochure produced by the U.S. Surgeon General’s office, and a bibliography produced by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine and the library.
